Blogging frustrations and celebration

I have not been able to post to my blog for such a long time. I had to set up a g-mail account to get into it, but when I did, it told me I didn't have a blog. Totally weird. I could do a google search for my blog and find it, but I couldn't post to it that way. I have tried all kinds of things to get to my blog and asked people for help to no avail. I was ready to create a new blog when I decided to go about changing my password as if I had forgotton it and low and behold it worked. Hurray! Yippee! Hi yi yippe yay! Now I can post blogs on all the things I've been working on trying. Maybe I can even get finished with the 23 things.

Play and Image Generators

ImageChef.com - Create custom images

This didn't turn out just the way I wanted, but it is still kind of neat. Definately a fun place to play around, but wow, what a incredible way to kill a lot of time.
I sure it hope it gets easier as I do more of these things.

Ex. 10 - More play - I love Books

Flower Text - ImageChef.com I'm starting to get the hang of this.

Searching for Blogs

I suppose the words you use to search for blogs are as important as in any other search for information. I didn't find any blogs yet that I was really fascinated with or found useful in Liszen, but I will try some of the other blogfinders suggested and see what I come up with.

Thoughts about RSS feeds

Another technology that I knew just a little about, but never wanted to take the time to subscribe to. I can see that it will maximize the amount of information I can browse through. If patrons will take advantage of an RSS feed from their library they would automatically be aware of any news or updates about the library that we want them to know about.
I have decided that the first exercise for Planning New Technologies should be thinking up names for Blogs, email accounts, passwords, usernames, etc. I didn't spend as much time as I should have to come up with a creative, appropriate name for my Blog, but oh well, I did it!

Technology Thoughts

Flickr is really fun and I'm looking forward to downloading many of my photos so I can play with them and send them to friends and family. However, I will need a real second life (not virtual) to have time to do all this stuff. I guess my new slogan should be "So many things to learn to do, so little time" instead of "So many books, so little time".

Interesting to say the least. I need to download my own pictures and have some fun.

I have to practice adding pictures from flickr to my blog so here is a picture of the wildflowers called Bluets that were in bloom all over the place along the hiking trails in North Carolina.

It was easier hiking 12 miles of the AT than creating a flickr account and getting a picture to my blog. Not really. Both are a lot of fun and require a lot of energy, but are worthwhile in the end.

7 1/2 Habits

Easiest habit - Accept responsibility for my own learning.

Most difficult habit - Begin with the end in mind.

I made it!

So far, so good. I am thinking this is going to be fun.
